Easter Bunny

Kayleigh is obsessed with the Easter Bunny. I had completely forgotten about taking the girls to see him/her/it until I was at the indoor play park at the mall. I got into a conversation with one of the other moms who mentioned they were going to go visit. So I decided I would take the girls down as there were only 3 more days until Easter. Kayleigh got so excited when she saw him she could barely stand in line. After she had her photo taken I told her it was time to go and she got a huge frown on her face, crossed her arms and closed her eyes really tight. Maybe she thought she had made herself invisible and would be able to sit there all day. Anyway she was reluctant to get down and as we were waiting for our photos to print she saw the next child sit on the bunny's lap. Kayleigh started yelling "EASTABUNNY HUG KISS HUG KISS" So we of course had to go back and give the bunny a kiss so she would not be heartbroken. The rest of the day all she could talk about was the eastabunny. It was too cute. The next day I took her to a different mall so she could she him again. This time there was no line and she ran up onto his lap and grabbed his arm tight, she was not about to let go. When we were done there was someone behind us and they were done by the time our photos were printed. Then there was no one else around so she got to play in the Easter Bunny's area a little longer and kept going back to give the bunny multiple hugs. I told Joel this year for Kayleighs birthday all he has to do is dress up like a giant bunny and she would be the happiest kid in the world. He's not so thrilled with that idea.

Too far behind

Where to begin? The girls are growing so fast. Since I last posted Kayleigh has turned 3. She has been potty trained for a good 6 months and I no longer have to worry about finding surprises after my shower! It's so nice that she can now go to the bathroom all on her own and take care of wiping, washing and dressing herself. I don't even have to worry about her getting into things while she's in there alone anymore. She amazes us everyday with things she says and does. She has a great sense of humor and wit like I've never seen on a 3 year old. One day I will start writing them down and share.... She is enjoying preschool and dance and loves all of her teachers. Those stories are for separate posts though. Laurelyn is now walking and talking, she puts 2 and 3 words together. She is old enough to fight back when Kayleigh takes her toy away and no longer falls for the toy switch out Kayleigh used to pull. Silly Girls

Kayleigh is our never ending source of entertainment. There are too many funny things she does and says these days I couldn't keep track if I tried. So sometimes there are moments that I am able to capture on film. I always have my camera handy in the living room. The other day I gave Kayleigh her lunch and went to sit on the couch and talk to my mom on the phone for a minute. I hear Kayleigh yelling "get me down" get me down" which should have been the first clue. She normally says "get me out" Anyway I tell my Mom Kayleigh is done I have to get her. I walk into the kitchen and below is what I found. I say "WHAT are you doing!?" and she replies "I'm on a trapeze !"
