Too far behind

Where to begin? The girls are growing so fast. Since I last posted Kayleigh has turned 3. She has been potty trained for a good 6 months and I no longer have to worry about finding surprises after my shower! It's so nice that she can now go to the bathroom all on her own and take care of wiping, washing and dressing herself. I don't even have to worry about her getting into things while she's in there alone anymore. She amazes us everyday with things she says and does. She has a great sense of humor and wit like I've never seen on a 3 year old. One day I will start writing them down and share.... She is enjoying preschool and dance and loves all of her teachers. Those stories are for separate posts though.

Laurelyn is now walking and talking, she puts 2 and 3 words together. She is old enough to fight back when Kayleigh takes her toy away and no longer falls for the toy switch out Kayleigh used to pull. She loves ice cream and whenever we pull into the maverick to get gas she gets excited and starts yelling "I Keem! I Keem!" We have only gotten ice cream there 2 or 3 times yet she still has hope every time we stop. Although her and Kayleigh have begun to fight they have also begun to play with each other. They play kissing tag and follow the leader. One of the favorites is when Laureln pretends to be a dog. This game started months ago when we were playing with a ball and Laurelyn crawled over, picked it up in her mouth, crawled back, dropped the ball and started panting. It was hilarious! Now it is to the point she will crawl around saying "woof, woof" and beg and have you pat her head and scratch her ears! Kayleigh teaches her dog tricks too like rolling over and shake. Laurelyn loves to copy Kayleigh and has to do whatever she is doing, including copying her annoying eating habits like opening the peanut butter and jelly sandwich and licking out the inside! But it is good too because I will ask Kayleigh to do something like a "big girl" so Lu will copy and it gets them both to do things like cleaning up or staying safe outside.

They are both sweethearts and Kayleigh will randomly tell us she loves us and Laurelyn will randomly come give me or Kayleigh a hug and a kiss. Kayleigh loves it when Lu comes to hug her she always says "aww she loves me" those are the moments that melt my heart.

Anyway there is your brief update... on to photos!

little pumpkin playing together

Kayleigh's pre-school had a field trip to the pumpkin patch today. We already got pumpkins this year but it was a fun trip anyway. I snapped a few pics but not many and these were my favorites. So now you have the most up to date photos!
